Trying to decide on a new bat and was leaning towards the Ghost. Do these have as much pop? Because some of the balls off the Ghost have felt super sweet (and I’m someone who has never liked Easton bats)

It all depends on the hitter...had some people get better exits with the PC and have had people continue to
do better with the Ghost. Its tough to say yes or no to the pop question. I think many will say it has very good pop

Speaking from my own experience... I had one of my players with an ASA Ghost. They bought it against my advise because our program mostly plays USSSA tournaments. Anyway, Core sent me 3 of these new Mizuno's (Ti, PC, and C2) for demo purposes. All the players in our org. brought their bats and we had ourselves a play-off. bat vs. bat
Each girl got to take about 7 swings with every bat, including her own. We measured exit speeds off a tee. The Power Carbon won about 90% of the time. It beat the LXT, Xeno, Ghost, and DiMarini CF10....
The Ghost was hot and gave a solid run, but the PC took the title in the end. The biggest bonus here was the PC is stamped for all sanctions, and the ASA Ghost is not. The new dual stamped Ghost is getting a lot of mixed reviews, most of them say its not as hot.

Just bought my DD a 32/21 PC, haven't tested or taken the plastic off yet. Still a little apprehensive about the drop 11 because I am not seeing many reviews on it. I have heard from several people it's the same bat, but still a little nervous because I don't have money to throw around, :). Did any of your players test a drop 11? My DD used an ASA ghost as well, so I wll post once I get results

Thanks to Core, my daughter (11 yr old 4'10" 105 lbs) received her 31/21 PC on Monday. She is a Demarini girl so the first session did not go very well. She really likes her 31/20 demarini zen and was not giving the PC a chance. According to blast, her bat speed was about 2 mph slower and she did not care for the sound. As it broke in, the sound changed a little but she still did not like it. We hit again yesterday and got out the pocket radar to test exit speeds. She was swinging the PC much better today and it ended up winning the exit speed competition. She ended up averaging 50 mph but hitting as high as 54 swing speed with the PC but had exit speeds as high as 63 with most hanging between 57-59. Her Zen hit a top exit speed of 60 but was consistently 55ish with basically the same bat speed. Needless to say, she is sold on the PC. The PC is definitely heavier and less balanced than the -11 zen, so it took her awhile to get used to it. Numbers don't lie and her time to contact was essentially the same with both bats.

Thanks Stryker...the biggest hump to overcome is to give Mizuno a fair shake because I have not one doubt
about its performance and that its a top bat. Just gotta convince people name doesn't mean anything.

My daughter is a sophomore but is not big at all (5-4, 110 lbs.). She has always liked drop 11 DeMarini’s. We went to the 31/21 ASA Ghost last year and the ball exploded off of the bat. We had a couple of USSSA tourneys and she used a 31/21 Quatro Pro and a 31/21 LXT. She hated both of them. Just a feel thing I guess because she did not hit well with either. Near the end of the season I just didn’t see the same pop from the Ghost. It’s not cracked. I just think the ball comes off flat unless it’s hit on a very small sweet spot. So this fall it was back to a 32/21 Zen and she hits the ball hard consistently. She swings angry and generates good bat speed with the drop 11. I think she loses noticeable bat speed with the drop 10 so we are off of that for now. She said she likes the feel of the lighter bat. She can swing hard but maintains bat control.

We bought the 32/21 Power Carbon over the winter and she really likes it. She said it swings lighter than the Ghost but heavier than the Zen. The Zen is a 32/21 and the Ghost is a 31/21. She swung the 32/22 PC and felt it was way too heavy for her. The PC is loud and the ball travels well off of it. Like the Zen she hits the ball consistently hard with the PC. Not a lot of miss-hits (if there are miss-hits the bat must be very forgiving). She has not hit the PC in games yet. A lot of tee work and batting practice with her travel team. I’m pretty confident that will be the go to bat for the spring/summer season.

Im pretty confident in saying the 32/21 Ghost was 22oz give or take. Just a thought that maybe by end of season, that extra
weight wasn't helping her where as earlier, she could manage the extra ounce better.

And thank you husker for the drop11 PC info
