Thank you for sharing! I had a good chat with him about palm up and did my best to convince him of it’s merit. He politely listened, but stuck to his guns!

I would pay the cost of a lesson to get instructional videos like this from PCs on this forum. The best teachers cut through all the BS, stigma, and dogma giving the student absolutes of their discipline. And the entirety of all lessons will explain the absolutes. The biggest issue with teaching fastpitch pitching is that what we feel and what we do and what we teach can be totally lost in translation

I think fastpitchfoundations.com (Balswick, Pauly, Java) is somewhat aimed that idea Wtedalgo. Just waiting for it to launch like watching water boil.

Other things that videos of real time lessons provide is the speed at which a student progresses. Over the internet, if can take weeks of trial and error. In a 1:1, progressions to teach something like whip or spin orientation recognition can take as little as 1 session. Videos like this can also help show that kids respond differently to different cues and some kids get something just by seeing it once and others take several cues or drills over several sessions to get a light bulb. There are other ways to teach awareness than just drilling endlessly and that's the beauty of a product like Fastpitch Foundations or videos like Balswicks'.
