When my DD was just starting to develop as a pitcher I would take the pocket radar to her lessons. Whatever her top speed was when she was with her PC I would use as the bench mark when we pitched together without her coach. If she was off by 2-3MPH then I knew her mechanics were off.
Last fall she had a back injury that she tried to conceal from us as we were just ready to get started on our fall season. Pocket Radar didn't lie, she was off 3-4MPH on her FB. It's an outstanding tool.

Just one more thought for you. One of the best uses of a Pocket Radar is to measure ball exit speed for hitting. If you are going to invest in a new bat you want to be sure that it is the right size and weight for her to be able to get the most power on the ball. The speed of the ball as it leaves the bat is the only direct measure of the power of a hit and every 1 MPH extra you can add to exit velocity gives another 4 to 6 feet of carry distance on a line drive. There is an ideal bat size and weight for each athlete's mechanics. We have many coaches that have increased their team on base percentage significantly simply by doing regular bat fittings with the entire team about once a month. The top college coaches have been increasing their home run percentages by working on exit velocity on a regular basis. If you ever have any questions about any Pocket Radar products and how they are used, please give me a call. We are available toll-free at 888.381.2672 weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time. We are always happy to help. Thanks,
Chris Stewart / President, Pocket Radar Inc.

Pocket Radar. Our new Pocket Radar Coach is on the way. Is there a USB battery pack that you recommend for use with the PR?

Chris,

Thanks for the message. We have tested many different USB Power Packs we bought on Amazon and they all worked just fine. The small round ones usually go around 5 hours straight when using the Constant-on mode and the large ones went for over 40 hours.

If you ever need any help please give us a call on our toll-free support line at 888-381.2672 weekdays fro 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time. Thanks,

Chris Stewart / President, Pocket Radar Inc.

This is the one we recommend for other devices (have not tested with Pocket Radar):
https://www.amazon.com/EasyAcc-Monster-20000mAh-External-Portable/dp/B013QG7HAA

The main reason is that it has (2) 2A input charging ports. 4A of charging is much faster than others we have tried.

EDIT:
This forum hacks all links to Amazon. If the link above does not get where you want to go, google the Part Number:
B013QG7HAA

Or go to our LynkSpyder/Pocket Radar configuration page, scroll to the bottom and use the link to the battery there:

That one looks very similar to others that we tested. It should run a Smart Coach Radar for over 40 hours straight without any problem. You do have to turn on the switch on the side to get it to work. We sell a right angle USB cable on our web-site that allows you to have the battery pack 6 feet away from the radar.

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for the compliment. We work hard to stay in touch with our customers and help in any way we can. All of our products come with a 30 day risk free guarantee if you buy directly from our PocketRadar.com web-site. So you can try it out for 30 days and if you don't see several MPH of improvement in ball exit speed off the bat then call us for a return and we will refund all of your money with no hassles.

Good Luck!

Thanks,

Chris
