Go Pro clips from the season. First year at 16u. I should point out she no longer throws her bat.

<video removed>

Until I actually make a skills video, this is all she has to send college coaches.

There is a LOT to like in what I saw. Nice stuff. Lots of raw tools and athletic. Coaches love that.

Add in a caption so her name, grad year and contact email is onscreen ALL the time. I don't want to wait until 4+ minutes of video are over to get it. I would also add the final screen with all the details at the beginning as well.

Thanks for the kind words. We are both well aware she has a lot of room for growth.

If I edit the video now, I have to take it down. I don't want to start over on the You Tube hit count. So the best I could do with your good idea was to add her contact information found on the last few seconds of the video to the description. So that is now updated. When I create her highlight video for the fall, I will incorporate your ideas into the video.

Take Marriards information and apply it now. Don't wait around. Showcase season is a month away and you need to send this video to her target schools as they begin making plans to attend the various events. This is good footage. You can still edit the video and then create a new one to email to the coaches. Leave the original one up. And don't get wrapped up with the hit counts. That is not what is important. All you want to know: How many emails did I send out and how many of those coaches opened it up and how long did they watch it. Now that you posted the video on DFP your information will be skewed. You should not care how many DFP moms and dads looked at the video.

This is WAY better than a "skills video." Live, game speed footage vs. choreography and editing? No contest.

Half the season I used a Go Pro 3 White set at 1080p 30fps. Due to the compression, I could get up to 6 games on a single 64 GB card. I guess when it got hot the audio and video got way out of sync. This video clip finally made me get a new Go Pro. You can hear the sound of the bat hitting the ball while the pitcher is still in the wind up - and I have no idea where the braying mule sound came from. I don't blame the Go Pro for that:

The second half of the season I used the GoPro HERO5 Black with the Lynkspyder recommended settings:
Resolution: 1080
Frames Per Second (FPS): 60
Field of View (FOV): Linear (wide for short backstops; narrow for deep)
I can only get 2 to 3 games on a 64 GB card.

Liked a lot of what I saw on this video. I'm glad she's done throwing the bat (just sayin')

One pitch just caught my eye, because I love 'SICK' pitches, somewhere at 35 seconds, a girl #22 fans and misses at her change. I get that this happens a lot, but the sell on her change is awesome, and the flipping movement..... is SICK . Good stuff !
