This is like rubbing salt in the wound that is Oregon softball at this point.

Is there something wrong in Oregon or is she looking for a chance to win this year. She is a senior this year.

So college softball has gone from signing players too young to a free agent market. Which is worse?

Wow!!! I really wonder if the difference in style between White and Lombardi has a lot to do with all the movement.

Not officially

Why would the 2018 PAC12 Pitcher of the year go to UL?? Sunbelt conference hitters wouldn't stand a chance.

Edit to add: Then again...Why would Milligan and Hudek go there? Although I heard from a very reliable source that Hudek is getting her degree from ATM.

Just saw this one, but I heard from someone else.

The Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year, Megan Kleist, is the next Duck set to take flight as first reported by Justin’s World of Softball.
The two-time All-American and Appleton, WI. native was a Top 10 finalist for the USA Softball National Player of the Year award in 2018 and has been a steady and powerful force for Oregon during her tenure.
Sources have shared that the likely destination for Kleist is Louisana-Lafayette. This move would reunite her former club softball coach (Phoenix Jr. out of Green Bay), Mike Roberts. Roberts joined the Ragin’ Cajun staff this past summer after a one year stint as the head coach of Buffalo. Prior to Buffalo, Roberts was the pitching coach at Washington (2015 – 2017) and a volunteer assistant at Oregon (2014) working to develop the Ducks’ pitchers with Mike White.
Roberts is an Auckland, New Zealand native where men’s fast pitch has a strong presence and produces some of the best talent in the world. With that expertise he has been instrumental in the developed of pitchers like Taran Alvelo and Cheridan Hawkins.

Why would a top program have so many top-tier players leave at almost the same time? It looks like the players gave the HC the fall season to feel her out and they've decided they don't like what she brings to the program. The school administration has to be asking what the heck is going on. If the trend continues it will set the program back years.

Have there been any decommits from incoming players that anyone knows about? There has to be a lot of recruits how may be re-thinking about keeping Oregon as one of their top choices. If I'm thinking it, I'm sure there are others doing the same.

Are there any other schools who are seeing a mass exodus of top talent with or without a coaching change since the transfer rules have been relaxed?

Seems like the perfect storm for the Ducks. The new transfer rule combined with White's exit and the talent is headed for the door. Always expect a few transfers when a coach like Mike White leaves. Especially the pitchers given White's commitment to the pitching staff.
Balint will have a great chance to prove she's a #1. I enjoy watching Oregon softball and hope that they will retain the commits that have decided to stay.
