This is what predators do. They sniff out the ones who are somehow different or not accepted by others. They are excellent at picking the ones who will not talk and who will be vulnerable to their advances. They groom them and they sweet talk them before they threaten exposure and ruin. Corey Myers (allegedly) is exactly the same as Weinstein and the rest IMHO. Too bad that the general public out there has probably never heard this story. I'm sure that none of my friends who don't follow softball have.

F*** Corey Myers.

And if you recoil even a little about that sentiment, then ask yourself if this story was about your daughter as the victim.

F*** him.

To me, this ranks close to Jerry Sandusky. However, it’s not Penn State football, so we don’t hear anything about it on mainstream media.

Here in WA state, it’s considered a crime for a coach to have relations with players. Even if they are of the age of consent.

I doubt it's an isolated incident. There are more "coaches" like this out there, both the father and son.

The way the article described the intense, close-knit nature of the team was interesting to me. Is that typical of college sports teams. If so, it certainly sets the stage for abuse if you have coaches that are so inclined.

Corey was the HC in waiting and the plan was for him to take over for his father as soon as he received his degree. Unfortunately for Mickey Dean, Corey was a major contributor to the recruiting process and it has become apparent that Corey was making a lot of decisions with the wrong head.

That and the nature of the relationships. If it was a women abusing little girls it would probably have gotten more press. Both cases are disgusting.

This was such a sad read. I am so proud of the girls who came forward...and so disgusted at the whole situation!
