I just thought it would be fun to have a thread on how everyone's favorite college teams are doing so far this spring.

I am a University of Washington grad, so I have really enjoyed watching the Huskies get off to their best start in program history. It has been really interesting to see them playing well with their RBI leader from last season out for the year with an injury and their ace pitcher not getting the ball in the biggest games they have played. With the Pac 12 season just around the corner things are looking good for Husky Nation.

How is your team fairing so far?

So Cal
Oregon Ducks - Nice start, but not as strong as last year. They will be a contender to the end, and the end is what matters most.

Go Dawgs! I was at the UW/Bama on Saturday night. It was cool seeing Maddie Morgan back home playing against the Huskies.

War Eagle! I am pleasantly surprised at how well it has started with Dean. I figured they would have a good year but dang somethings have shocked me. First a team ERA of .78 pretty solid I would say. Secondly the fact Draper leads the nation in steals with 29 after the team had a total of 28 the entire season last year is exciting. Team wise they have 64 already through 25 games compared to the the 28 last season in 61 games.

That is one of the coolest things Murphy does for his players. He tries to give them at least one "home" game during their career.

Minnesota Gophers, ULL Cajuns, NDSU Bison, UND Sioux

Gophers pitching staff is having some trouble, and their hitting just isn't clicking like it was last year.
Kendyl Lindaman seems to opening up a little more and going after the outside pitches, but something is just off a little. I'm pretty sure she's vaporized several armadillos in the southern US, with all of the laser beam grounders she's been hitting. The HRs will come...
The rest of the team seems to struggling at bat as well. I don't know if it's the new batting coach or what. But the offense isn't there.

NDSU Bison, they are on the early spring road trip, but they seem to be doing well. They'll come back to the Summit League and be a contender for the Championship again. Let ZS and VA swing the bat like the power hitters they are, and the HRs will skyrocket.

ULL Cajuns, no Lotief... no HRs.

UND, doing fairly well on the early Spring road trip.

My Sooners are off to a good start and the couple of early losses will hopefully prove to serve them well like last year.

This is somewhat common for the top level programs that have the where with all to pull it off. UW played in Peoria, Illinois for Taran Alvello and then went to Texas for Kirstyn Thomas. It is a very nice gesture by the team to give the girls a "home" game.

Fellow Auburn fan, but I am tempering my expectations until Auburn plays a team with a pulse. Other than Notre Dame, they have not faced decent competition.

So far Duke has exceeded my expectation and I am looking forward to ACC play with our first series this weekend vs. UNC. We have looked very good at times, but we have also shown that we are capable of impersonating the Bad News Bears...college softball can be like a box of chocolates!
