UW Huskies fan here as well. It has been fun so far seeing all this early success, but I am a bit surprised they are undefeated. Knew what we had in Avelo, but no idea Plain and Manti would be pitching this well. Was a bit worried about the offense when Morganne F. went down with the ACL injury, but no issues scoring runs so far. Crazy thing is that less than 2 weeks before her injury Morganne subbed in and taught in my DD catcher's class when her regular instructor (UW grad C. Gano) was off trying out for team USA (she made it). So we were shocked to see Morganne out for the season before it even started.

With 6 winnable games to go before Pac 12 play starts, Huskies could be 29-0 going into conference play. Can't be too many teams historically who have gone into conference play undefeated. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

We follow FSU sports and DD's favorite player is Jessie Warren. FSU 15-6, not having a great year so far, but winning games. Jessica Burroughs was a big lose to the pitching staff.
Beat the #6 Ducks Sunday 2-1 with no hits, sometimes things go your way. DD can't wait for the Noles to come to Atlanta to play GT.

Locally we follow the Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies and they are undefeated. DD (9yo) attends their summer camp and loves watching girls she has "practiced" with play.

The Gamecocks are 19-1 and have won 16 straight. However, this weekend will be a reality check with 2 games against Oklahoma. From what I have seen so I am not sure they are ready for SEC competition. Pitching is going to be a big challenge this season.

Well, my new favorite college team hasn't played a game yet...darn those northern-ish DIII schools with later spring breaks. Does that mean I can say they are currently undefeated?

Auburn has looked pretty good, and I think I am going to like Coach Dean. Seems to have an aggressive approach at the plate and when running the bases. I like that in a coach. SEC play is starting though, so we will see what they can do against tough teams. I am with JAD, they really haven't seen much competition yet. Seems like a few of the big SEC schools are struggling so far. Tennessee looks really good though, and of course Florida. I have watched a ton of ACC ball this year because it has been on when I have time to watch games, and I have been surprised at the level of play. It looks like the ACC has gotten much stronger in the last couple of seasons and is headed toward some good years!

I was really worried about our ability to score without Flores, but we haven't missed many chances to score runs. I think her loss will be felt more in Pac-12 play when we face top level pitching every game. Gabby Plain has been a total shock to me. Coming out of Australia it isn't like there is much book on her, but she is the real deal. I agree going into conference undefeated is pretty likely at this point.

Iowa St. is pretty up and down, which is also how DD’s season has been going. Other schools I follow are Auburn, Alabama, Ball St, Gophers, Notre Dame, NDSU, North Dakota, Oklahoma, MN State Mankato, Minnesota-Duluth, St Kates MN, St Scholastica MN and Augustana SD

This is somewhat common for the top level programs that have the where with all to pull it off. UW played in Peoria, Illinois for Taran Alvello and then went to Texas for Kirstyn Thomas. It is a very nice gesture by the team to give the girls a "home" game.

Peoria, Illinois is a pretty far distance from Carroll, OH where Taran Avelo is from. Maybe they played it there because she came up through the Bandits program.
