Congratulations to your DD, JAD!! Edited to add I think her homeruns were the first in Duke program history?

Thanks [MENTION=4739]maksoftball[/MENTION]! I cannot tell you how proud my DW and I are of our DD right now! All that hard work in the fall when she thought the coaches were trying to kill them is starting to pay dividends!

Congrats !! great accomplishment. Looks like the program is off to a good start...you guys have quiet the dynamic duo two pitchers that can both hit that's always a good combo. I'm impressed especially since it looks like the core group carrying the team is the freshman nucleus that bodes good for the next few years hopefully they keep up the good work

Congrats!! My DD's just turned on the Duke vs Penn State game and we were talking about her, then the commentators started talking about her and then I see this thread! Very cool!! ;-)

Having pitchers that can hit opens up a lot of options with the DP/Flex and allows good defensive players who may be struggling at the plate to stay in the game.
