I will say, that when the 3 were picked up for smoking weed, I found it very strange. I couldn't figure out, where the girls were smoking at and if they were home, who turned them in. Then, when Ms. Fagen passed a drug test, I was more puzzled. I just always had the feeling that someone snitched on them.

We always say that the softball community is very small. Relationships built in TB continue as those players move on to college ball. As such the players in the SEC are a pretty tight knit community. There are few secrets. According to current and former Auburn players the antics of Corey Meyer were the "elephant in the room" for quite some time. There was a coordinated effort to intimidate and silence those who might speak out that went beyond the coaching staff.
Although what happened at Auburn is an extreme example, there are other programs in the SEC and other conferences with coaches, players, and administrators that are "ethically challenged". We hear stories all the time regarding football and basketball because those are the money sports. It is naive to think that obscure sports such as softball and immune from such activity.
Was the effort to "intimidate and silence" more than just the "quarantine" situation mentioned in the ESPN article?
