MN got screwed by the home plate umpire in their first game with AL, but to not score a single run against AL does not help their argument. AL is good, but they finished towards the middle of the pack in the SEC.

On the first note, show me a game where a questionable call hasn't been made... MN did not lose that game on that single call...

AL is a good defensive / pitching team this year but their bats have been absolutely horrible... I do not remember a year with so many low scoring / one run loss games for AL... Other than being seeded at home, MN was probably seeded in the only Regional that they actually stood a decent chance of coming out of (looking at it going in)...

I remember the year the UW got snubbed because they had no lights. They were ranked #1 and had to go on the road. They struggled at UMass, but pulled it out and went on to win the national championship. Of course, having Danielle Lawrie in the circle helps.

In the first game in the 9th inning...was Runyon hit by that pitch?...Video showed that she clearly was not hit by the pitch, but she sold it like a Used Car Salesman... My DDs response of "frickin' cheater", put a smile on my face...
Also in the first game, in the 9th inning...was that last batter really walked, or was it a strike?...the commentators said, "Sara G. lost that game on a strikeout"...
It doesn't matter now, if you can't score runs, it's all pointless...
In our house, we were all on the edge of our seats for the entirety of both games...Thanks for a great season Minnesota!!

Hard to believe all the bad umpiring that occurred this weekend. Are these umpires suppose to be the best the NCAA has to offer? I remember last year in the WCWS when they imposed the strike zone on the screen and it just showed how inconsistent the umpires are and how horrible their pitch calling can be.

I was on board the conspiracy wagon, but the selection committee look like geniuses now. Gophs looked inept vs good pitching. No B1G teams in the Supers and likely every seeded team will play in the Supers. Never would have believed it.

I am pulling for LSU but I want them to win it on the field. With the weather we have had in the SE the last few days I was dreading the possibility of them making it through just because they were seeded.

We played the Cajuns early in the year. DD had the best time down there and said their fans were awesome. Some friends have a DD on LSU though so I gotta root for the Tigers.

The umpiring was also very bad in Tucson. We were behind the Carolina dugout along 3rd base and at times thought Candrea's head would explode. In the MN/Alabama game I was surprised to see a player turn away from an inside pitch with bases loaded. The Gophers lost an opportunity for an run and the win.
