I don't see how the umpire made that call. It looks like it went over to me. The ball bounces after it goes over and hits the ground. If it went under I would think the ball would be rolling. It definitely didn't one hop the fence. Bad call.

If it went under, the CF really played it poorly. Her glove is at the top of the fence when she runs into it. That tells me it went over.

I think if I was the coach, I might have risked being ejected... gone out there with a softball and tried to throw the ball under the fence right there, to recreate the play. Just to drive home the point. I would agree, the bouncing of the ball, and that the ball didn't hit the player make me believe it went over.

I was at that field yesterday watching both Oregon and UCLA. I also spent some time on the outside the OF fence watching games and checking out vendor booths. It's a temporary chainlink fence, but it looked pretty tight to the ground all the way across (consistent and smooth OF surface, too). IMO, the likelihood that the ball went under the fence is minimal...at best.
