Even with the K Zone, I thought that he was very consistent with up balls and side to side. The base umpire had a tough call when one team wanted obstruction and the other interference on the play at 1st. Then, there was the question of interference on a ball where the OK runner ran in front of the Auburn fielder. No break in stride and plenty of clearance and so no interference.
This WCWS was a lot of fun to watch. I miss having the softball team come over like we did when BB was playing but everyone grows up.

GREAT final series!! My heart was pulling for Auburn, but there is not denying how good Oklahoma is.
Despite my 2 favorite teams not even getting out of the Supers, I thought this year's WCWS had some of the most exciting softball I've ever seen.

We had practice tonight so I just finished watching it on DVR or I would have chimed in sooner! Can't believe Carasone let her emotions get to her and create another error. It does show the best players can have bad games.

Apparently picking pitches did not exist, the change up was for real,, then to take a fast all on the inside corner for k3, was fun guessing, but the white square or rectangle k zone was a mystery.

My thoughts exactly. I think Auburn was one of the most interesting stories in softball this year. Yet Gasso is such a great coach, I had no trouble enjoying the outcome.
Cannonball, we had a bonfire at our house after our hs softball banquet Wednesday and they all ended up sprawled anywhere they could find a place to watch the game. Listening to these kids talk softball was a highlight of our hs senior year.
