Very Nice Award for the DD

Yesterday, UMSL (University of Missouri at St. Louis) awarded championship rings to the softball team. BB was told to dress up as this was to involve a lot of dignitaries from the university. What UMSL is trying to do is make a change in all of their programs by awarding conference championship rings. The ceremony was very nice. However, they went a step beyond what they had to do. This was past spring was the 3rd year in a row that the Softball Team won the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Title. So, they went back 3 years to award rings to all members from each of those teams. BB's ring has "3-Peat" on it. It is really nice. In fact, far nicer than I had expected. The school had to put out some money for all of those girls.

It was so neat seeing all of the girls get back together. Naturally, some of the girls from 3 years ago didn't know the freshmen from last year and so, UMSL held a reception after the ceremony. They had a "Taco Bar" which was really neat. That too has a story if my guess is right. If some of you remember, BB set up "Taco Night" for the freshman each year beginning her Sophomore year. The new girls and parents always remarked how much they liked it. Anyway, I continue to be impressed with UMSL.

That's nice that they went back like that and recognized those players. As for your DD setting up Taco night for the freshman, that is something I expect the incoming kids remember and take with them as they continue on life's journey. Good on ya BB!

I will ask BB if she took one. I don't do that stuff and will regret it someday.

Very cool! Glad they offered that type of recognition, and that BB had a chance to participate. It's something she can carry with her throughout her whole life.
