One thing I have read, and it makes a lot of sense. Catchers need to perform a proper throw down between every inning. She might not get to show off her arm or her POP time during the game, but the college coach there to see her knows that after the last warm up pitch they will get to see the catcher throw to second. Make it a good throw, be serious about it, no goofing off, no rainbows, no stopping to say something to the ump between catching and throwing... make it a good POP.

100% agree. Make a good throw. You are not baiting anyone. If I am at a showcase and I have speed on the bases I am going no matter how good the throw looks. Showcase my best vs. your best and get them both scholarships....

* Coaches are looking for good players that treat their coaches and parents with respect. Carry their own bags. Help their teammates. All things said above.
This goes for parents too as coaches are also checking them out. My advice is minimal interaction between players and parents at the fields. Players should bring everything they need and not be looking into the stands. Spectators shouldn't coach from the stands. In a nutshell, be positive towards the whole team so strangers can't tell which kid is yours.

Now on the Coaches side of Coaching in showcases: ...

Agree with everything, especially rotating pitchers so they are fresh and can warm up quickly whenever someone wants to see them.

Great advice. My DD always makes sure that she also throws down from her knees as well as her feet so that they can see both...

We have the kids Graduation date on our uniforms. IE. 2016,2017,2018 I think these are the pictures that we can see. We have names on the back, grad date on the left sleeve and once they commit we have the school they are committed to and the date they verbally committed placed on the right sleeve for them under our Logo. Once they commit they are no longer required to wear team hat or visor. We allow them to wear hat or visor of their College or University.
