Sorry Cannonball & others - I looked for comments on this buffoonery going on and started my thread - YES my DD is loading weapons.....

We're good to go and this should have been its own thread. Thanks for doing so. Pathetic to say the least that the powers that be sought to bring in a baseball guy to tell us about softball. Then, he doesn't even understand some of the strategy. For example, he talked about the vertical pitching game which was correct but followed that up by suggesting that softball pitchers don't go in and out.

DW said tomorrow night's drinking game...gotta take a drink everytime announcers say the word "river".

PS Romero looked like she had a invisible fence collar on connected to 3rd.

You people are brutal. I enjoyed hearing Curt give his input, even when he was rambling. It simply illustrates the differences between baseball and softball. I like hearing a baseball wiz give opinions one where/what pitch would be next and such. Being a baseball guy, it's really interesting.

and so when you watch college baseball, you want Jennie Finch giving her 2 cents about what she would do? He called for a pitch up and in on one occassion where she was saying what he would do and the pitch was a change up for a strikeout. I could care less about his career or his baseball knowledge! It does this sport a disservice to think that it needs a baseball analysis to give it credibility. BTW, I coached HS baseball for a very long time as well including some teams that were ranked #1 in the nation in Collegiate Magazine and USA Today. I've coached baseball for the USA in the former Soviet Union. Doesn't matter, this is softball.

So Cal
Schilling was a disaster. His admitted lack of knowledge about the game was painful, especially when someone like Amanda Scarborough does such a consistently excellent job.

Find it odd that in a dramatic game one of the WCWS championship series, a game with surprises, a Lauren Haeger bomb, twists, turns, and ultimately the tying run stranded on third, the ONLY thing that anyone wants to discuss is Curt freaking Schilling.
