I live about 8 miles from the HOF and we have had 32 tornado touchdowns(in all of Oklahoma) and 16+ inches of rain so far this month and more to come. With the upcoming forecast Oregon has a distinct advantage, but I'm partial to the Ducks. But seriously if any of you are coming into town for the game you will need to be schooled on Okie tornado lingo. Start googling Grinders, Elephant Trunk, Hook Echoes, The Gentner and Val Castor. Hell, us Okies even made a drinking game out tornado coverage. But I hope the weather will stay away for the next week or so.

Yes it has been quite a disastrous spring. We have been rained out of 9 tournaments total and 4 in the last month. This weekend is at 60% Thursday - Sunday I believe. Hopefully all of us can get some game time in Oklahoma this week. The storm that came through last night was dropping 4 inches an hour.

BTW, if any of you decide it looks too much like a wash out to travel and want to sell your tickets......I may know someone that needs to take 4 ballplayers to the game!!

safe in an undisclosed location
after seeing something on tornadoes and the WCWS my wife (German import) asked me two questions....

Why do they play it in Oklahoma City?
Where exactly is Oklahoma?

Sadly I could not answer either question.

Husband and daughters are leaving tomorrow for wcws and the triple crown. Do you think the triple crown can be played?

Reaves Park can handle a lot of water but they got about 5 inches Saturday and rain everyday this week. Moore and Mustang have not got as much but still pretty wet. But you know what tournament directors will do to play.

BB is headed that way with 12U Team. I was there for the NFCA Awards Ceremony last week and we got wet. I don't see how that area can take much more rain.

LSU-Auburn and Michigan-Alabama are the two games that I am most looking forward to in the opening round. After that it kind of becomes a crap shoot for me. Should make for an exciting tournament though.
