Wow, some teams got dissed in this WCWS

I know they want to justify decisions by saying they want to 'keep travel costs down' (apparently for some programs, but not others), but UCF not getting a regional is garbage.

Notre Dame absolutely didn't deserve one but I guess location trumped performance.

And frankly Arizona as a '12' is very, very questionable as well. Debatable whether they deserve a regional at all. And putting Minnesota in the same regional (who should have got a regional instead of traveling across the country) just compounds a poor decision further.

Oregon has it massively easy.

Florida has it tougher than deserved. FAU is no joke, and then you likely get Kentucky in the next round.That will be tough against an experienced team if they get some run support and keep Nunley's arm from falling off that could go either way.

As a Gopher fan, I'm actually happy that they didn't get a 15 or 16 seed. They did last year and it got them a trip to Oregon for super regionals. No thanks. Rather take our chances against Arizona in regionals and then LSU in supers instead of Florida or Oregon.

In other words, if Arizona and LSU are the only teams standing in our way of a trip to the WCWS, we might as well book the trip.

Minnesota has a RPI lower than Arizona and plays in a weaker conference, the Big10 vs the PAC-12. And their last game of the season, they lost to 90th ranked Iowa, ouch! Arizona has the 4th best batting average in D1 and has a history of making it to the WCWS. I don't think it's too much of a travesty to have them hosting a regional. They can settled this debate when they play each other this weekend.

NCAA pays travel costs, so it's their nickel. Putting a regional in MN or a 3rd one in FL would have resulted in more teams having to fly.

The whole tournament is a joke. How Stanford and Oregon state were passed up is beyond me. Did the selection committee not understand they they were PAC9 teams?

Oregon State had a terrible second half of the season. They lost 20 out of 27 of their last games. Stanford was abysmal...17-37 overall, 2-22 in conference and 15-15 against non-conference opponents.

I guess Kentucky was let because???

But Tennessee gets in even though they can't catch routine pop ups? The whole thing is rigged the SEC and the Illuminati.

It will be interested to see what happens with Stanford. Talk about a team full of turmoil. It sounds like the parents have too much say in what goes on with that club, including Mike White.
