It will be interested to see what happens with Stanford. Talk about a team full of turmoil. It sounds like the parents have too much say in what goes on with that club, including Mike White.

Stanford was a dumpster fire this season, but they need to give the new coach a year or two to recruit and see what she can do when she has her own players.

As a Gopher fan, I'm actually happy that they didn't get a 15 or 16 seed. They did last year and it got them a trip to Oregon for super regionals. No thanks. Rather take our chances against Arizona in regionals and then LSU in supers instead of Florida or Oregon.

In other words, if Arizona and LSU are the only teams standing in our way of a trip to the WCWS, we might as well book the trip.
I hope you got refundable tickets...

@29dad - You can blame me because I picked Minnie to win that regional in a contest. I expected they would have found the bats they lost before the Big X tourney by now - were their hot bats confiscated during inspections? ;) Besides missing Walker, I noticed they used PR's for Richardson.

Kudos to AZ's Trish Parks for pitching a great complete game in Saturday's match-up and both teams for battling to the end on Sunday.

I deserved that. AZ is much better than I expected. They can hit and holy cow can that shortstop play defense.

That's true. They can certainly hit. The Huskies' pitching is suspect to be sure but they put up 41 runs in the series, 18 in one game (on 7 hits :(). The Huskies beat up on Parks and Floyd but could only put up 24 and win one. Anyway, if it makes you feel better, I had MN in my bracket as well :). That whole series was an utter travesty of scheduling, but both teams put on a great show. The best of the regional series' in my opinion.
