Will be interesting to see of the rest of the story ever comes out. You would have to think something is pretty off if they would not just wait until the end of the season and fire her then nobody would even notice.

Sounds like some of it was parents of players? Here's a comment from the site:

OK well for those close to the program, they know that this has been coming for the past few years. My daughter played for her for 2 years , and it was a nightmare. She treated them like crap, made them lie on how long they practiced during the week, constantly bullying several that were not recruited by her to quit. First 2 years team captains went to administration to let them know the situation. My daughter was one that was interviewed about what was going on, and she had it held against her . I think it just took some time to get enough documentation of her behavior. Actually this makes quite a few people happy. They did the right thing for the athletes and the school.

Another:
Just ask a parent of one of her players what the inside story is and you will see it was a long time coming. If you know of someone who had a great experience with her, must have been "one of her girls". The sad story is that the team had a GREAT group of girls and she managed to make their lives miserable. This story goes way back! ANd UD should have done something a LONG time ago!

And another:
Funny how a common thread seems to be parents! Parents of adult college athletes fighting battles for their adult college kids. One of my son's played Division III basbeball at a school where everyone hated the coach, even the starters. ( my son was not a starter so it made being on the team that much more miserable) The coach ruined my son's love for baseball. It happens at every University be it Juco or D-I. I don't know what all happened, but I would lay a paycheck that 80-90% of those complaining about the coach are the parents who thought their child would get more playing time than they did, were maybe told something they didnt want to hear about their ability, or maybe they just we'rent good chemistry for the team. If the coach was physically abusive, verbally abusive ( and I don't mean calling a player out or yelling at them) then perhaps she should have been fired.

Well she was hired to turn around a program that was in the dumper, not win a popularity contest. Strange that she would make the comment that the AD said she was too positive.

There are some pretty good TB recruits in my area that have verballed to UD. I wonder what is going to happen with them.

The families were all called by the school so they can make a decision.

Apparently she and the new assistant AD had a long-running dislike for each other (and the higher ranking one always wins). Apparently they argued over whether a field was playable and she went and played the games against the Assis. AD's instruction. (To go w/coach on this one, the game was switched in location, and you can understand wanting to get it in if you can and the other team, perhaps already traveled.) Insubordination, but they are 'publicly leaking' player mistreatment. Some parent drama added in.

The AD there likes to fire coaches so he can put his stamp on things.

She probably deserves pay for the rest of the season, so they can head off a lawsuit, I would just give her a bit more than that----Her side is saying old boys club, because the interim coach assis. AD and AD are male. Some merit to that they say, as she claims hostile work environ.

I have yet to hear any credible report that Coach Wohlbach has alleged sexism. A charge that you throw at any and every opportunity. I have known her and her family for well over a decade and she is not like that. That said I would be thrilled to have her coach one of my DD's. I am sure she will have no shortage of opportunities for a new home.
