Headed for the Super Regional and have been keenly aware of how close the end is. Starting with the GLVC Tournament, we started to see friend's dds careers end with losses. We have made great friends with players and parents on opposing teams. After the Lewis game, I had to go over and shake one dad's hands and tell him that we think the world of his dd. After the Regional, BB waited for some of the players on Southern Indiana to give them hugs and compliment them on their careers. That was hard to take as they teared up. This coming weekend could find the same fate for mine. We are desperately hoping that she gets to live her dream of helping get Coach's team to the big dance.
My brother sent me a text last night congratulating me on BB being named 1st Team All Midwest for Daktronics. He said in his text that no one knows how hard she has worked and the real price she has paid for success. That is so true. I got out the video again of her when she was so sick and still had to get in her 150 swings. (Most of the time it was double that but 150 was her goal each day.) Throughout the video you can hear me saying she needs to be at home and in bed. Then again, I knew the kid and she had to hit. I am going to take in this weekend and just enjoy it.

You bet it got bad. However, we completed the game. UMSL won 2 to 1. The kid is in a huge slump. However, she is in good spirits. Tomorrow is make or break for her season. Can UMSL make it to the dance? I just don't know but they battled tonight.
YES!! Good luck tomorrow. Great job on the win and avoiding the lightning! Augie struggled today and will need to sweep tomorrow. Again great job to your DD and her team!
Sorry to see the results today, CB. I know it must sting a bit but my gosh how proud you must be of your DD's STELLAR career!! Thanks for all the posts over the years. I have enjoyed living vicariously thru you and if my DD ends up having HALF, heck a QUARTER of the success your DD had I will consider that to be wildly successful.
