Wow! I have to smile when rec coaches and players parents like to criticize him.

FOURTEEN HUNDRED! Coach Candrea collects his 1,400th career victory as Arizona defeats UTEP 9-1 in 5. Congrats Coach!

So with 3 games left in the regular season, Coach Candrea has 1,424 wins which is 34 wins short of overcoming Margie Wright's most wins in DI softball. Coach Wright did it in 32 seasons. Coach Candrea is in his 30th. I'm gonna stick my neck out again and predict that he picks up enough wins next year and, regardless how the UA Wildcats finish, he will retire.

I'm gonna go further and predict that Coach Candrea will recommend AC Stacy Iveson for the HC job, with AC Caitlin Lowe under her. But UA AD won't bite, he'll get someone surprisingly good from the pool of available coaches. The current UA AD has really done well the past 5 years or so. The lesser known sports are doing well (like golf, gymnastics, track, and sports that don't get a lot of attention or gate receipts). As for the big gate receipts, he brought in Sean Miller as the basketball HC (and did not hire Lute Olson's AC who was doing pretty good in Lute's long absence), and Rich Rodriguez as football HC. So there you have it, from a guy who knows nothing.
