If your DD has a change up it's now time for her and her catcher to communicate the pitch and location.
At 10u coaches call pitches and do so for both the pitcher and catcher.
Catcher needs to know what's coming and where.
You should not call anything out from the stands except "good pitch".

We don't yell anything. We use wristbands to call FB, Change, and whichever other pitches that pitcher throws, and inside, outside. The catcher wears a wristband and we call the pitch to the catcher. The catcher then gives signs to the pitcher. This may sound like a long process but it really isn't.

Im assuming this is a rec or local league...
I absolutely agree there must be an open dialogue between the C, P and Coach... but in the mean time if youre looking for a verbal signal. Try something like calling her by her jersey number, first name or last name etc... pick something inconspicuous that the C also understands

Just to clarify, you are a coach right and not just a father who wants to call pitches from the backstop? As tempting as that might be it’s a huge no-no.

(To the OP) Not to bombard you with the same stuff, but I agree with those above. Please don't be the dad that calls pitches. You will regret it later for reasons you will discover later. But for now, think about your catchers (I'm a catcher dad, btw). P & C have to be on the same page. If C doesn't know the change is coming, especially at this age, the ball is likely to get away from her.

EDIT: MNDAD and JOSH are spot on!!! Please tell me you're a coach and not planning to yell from the stands!?!?
NEVER EVER EVER coach from the stands!!! That'll get you banned from the stands and stuck out on the right field fence on my teams!! LOL

At 10U, we started using signs - from coach to catcher to pitcher. If the pitcher is starting to attempt anything other than fastballs in the strike zone, it's critical that the catcher knows what to expect.
