How many video hitters?

We video our whole team every couple weeks. We use RVP and multiple girls know how to use it, so we just rotate through and whoever is working in the cage gets video of front toss or machine or whatever we’re doing that day.

Every few weeks we watch swing videos as a station with a coach to talk some good things and some things that might need some adjustment. Other coach is working the tee/front toss stations to guide players through suggestions they just watched on video.

Have swings saved in the program from seniors from their freshman year. Fun to look back and see differences in mechanics and how they have grown over the past 4 years.

I try to video DD approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks. I typically use the "Technique" app on my phone. We have been doing this for 2 or 3 years at this point. At first, we would take a close look at her swing and then compare it to certain other swings (usually Miggy). As time progressed, she began taking ownership of this. She would select other hitters to compare and has gotten to the point now that she analyzes the swing on her own and simply asks questions about it. We have a similar process with several other players on our team. While I'm pitching, one of the girls will film someone else, and then they will work together to diagnose. It's quite enjoyable for me to watch and hear them take ownership of the process.

We also use a Zepp sensor periodically. This can really be fun as the girls will use it as friendly competition. In addition to watching the numbers, they also look at the 3D renderings. We focus specifically on hand path and barrel path when we do that.

FP - how do you store/offload the Technique files? It's now taking up significant amounts of phone memory for me! Have you been able to edit the videos on a PC, or do you just go through the App from a tablet or phone?

I don't keep that many of them. I keep a few of the older ones just to utilize as a "beginning" for the journey. But then I only have a handful of videos for each of my hitters. So memory really hasn't been an issue for me.
