This may seem like a really, really dumb post, but before I become the laughing stock for my wardrobe choices...my summer softball team will be purchasing new uniforms for this season:

- White tops with navy blue text/numbers/trim on the uniform
- Navy blue pants (with beltloops) (color matches the tops)

My question for those who have experience with these types of things:
- What color should the belt be on the pants?
- What color should the socks be?

White and navy blue are the ONLY colors the uniform currently has (no outline on the text/numbers, etc). Just want to make the right choices before ordering in time. Thanks!

This is purely subjective, but I recommend black belts and white socks for contrast. Players tend to lose socks and then wear something that doesn't match, black or white socks are easy to replace. White will contrast better with the blue pants. JMO!

I did a google search on "softball uniforms navy blue." This is one of the first images that came up. Is this similar to what you are looking for? Also, I know various websites will offer a "uniform builder" that will allow you to visualize any color options you want. I know Adidas and Boombah both have those apps.

I would definitely go with white socks (and definitely get more than one pair per player) and either a white or navy blue belt. DD's team usually matches their socks and belts.

These are the images of the shirt (the exact shirt/color) and the type of pants we are planning to purchase for the coming season:

The pants will be navy blue in color (this is just to show the type, etc). I had experimented with DOZENS of uniform builders from various websites, but the issue is keeping the cost per set cheap enough for my players. My goal is $50/player, since this is just a sub-rec (one month) league AND the economics of some families participating wouldn't allow for anything well over that. Socks are bought by the team, and if we do white socks, we can get those SUPER cheap by the dozen.

I’m a little off the beaten path here.....there was a NC team we used to play a lot , the Two Out Voodoo that used Seattle Seahawks colors, green, blue, and white, or green, blue, and gray. The way the pants and pockets were piped, I think they were Boombah? I very rarely comment on uniforms, but these were the sharpest uniforms ever to me. Every time we’d see them at a tournament, my DD would say “there’s your favorite uniforms!!”

KCPhoto does have a great point, sometimes simple is best, easiest!

A one month league? How about you order the shirts, and everyone wears black pants. Seems like most girls already have a pair of black softball pants.

You would (legitimately) be surprised at the uniforms teams get for this one-month league. Not trying to defend myself or others one way or another, it's rather surprising. I'm actually looking at doing something similar to the first imaged posted before, but we'll see what happens. I definitely agree about doing white socks (and multiple pairs at that), and the belt color shouldn't make a major difference, but I've just been looking for alternative ideas. :)

I like the white socks for 2 reasons. 1. Nice contrast. 2. Always in stock and easy to replace
I'd have to go with white belts. It'd really pop against the navy pants

Last year one of the teams decided to be trendy and get the long pants. Don't do it. The girls absolutely hated them and
we're stuck with them the entire season.
