One of my pitchers was warming up before a game. She was working her curveball without much success having just started working on it. Daddy comes up and yells to move her hips. This hips make the ball curve. I wanted to blurt out "On what planet?"

The hips always do all the work on URANUS.... LOL I'm apparently still a 12 year old

We played a team once that hit around 8 HR's in a game. No fence but they just hammered out pitchers. We lost around 9-2. Pitchers mother comes up and is dead serious and says we would have won 2-1 without all of the HR's. I was too stunned to say "Too bad we couldn't have held them to only 8 triples".

We had our first HS home game this past Friday night, our new 3B made a great play charging a ball and throwing on the run but she sailed it over our 1B head, her dad said the 1B should be charged with the error........I said yeah I agree, how dare she leave her 8 foot long arms at home:rolleyes:

I don't really care how good you were in little league/middle school/high school. Your kid can't throw/catch/run.

Me to myself this morning after a freshman walks into my office and declares she wants to play softball.

"Have you been living under a rock and missed all the announcements and meeting that have been going on in the last two months to prepare for the season?"

First day of practice was yesterday, AND she said she could not be at practice tonight because she does not have her "stuff." WHAT??????
