I've got a call into ASA/USA softball and am expecting word any day on whether they're going to change the rulebook and allow a "crow-hop" so, that your daughter can pitch for me.

I know that your pitching coach says it's legal... I guess you can ask him to give you some circle time.

Something I say... "If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way I said to do it..."

Something I shouldn't have said... "If you stand there and don't move on a play, one more time, that's the last time you'll see the field this year!!" (I yelled this from the dugout to right field) (yes, I was an a$$ hole)

Or if you had adjusted to say, "President Trump has a higher approval rating than your daughter's batting average", I'm assuming THAT would get smiles and nods of agreement. /sarcasm.

What I wish I said as assistant coach to the head coach (14U): "Coach, these hours and hours of practice time we spend on trying to teach these girls around the horn is great but don't you think that we should spend the time teaching our outfielders to catch a fly ball and our infielders to stay in front of a grounder?" Oh wait I did say that - just not as nicely. His response? "Don't you want the team to look good?" I thought that winning instead of losing would make us look pretty good but what do I know? True story.
