10u LL here during regular season is kid pitch until the second consecutive walk/hit by pitch combo. Then the coach gets to pitch 5. We had a game early in the season where my AC struck out the first three she pitched to (including her own dd). We almost gave her the game ball that night

They get to sectional all stars and it's strictly kid pitch.
I always thought baseball was kid pitch even during regular season because there are usually at least four boys who want to pitch. A LL softball team is very lucky to get two girls who will even try.

Just because they want to pitch doesn't mean they are any good at it. Obviously the rules vary by league.
