SS and 2nd depth

I like 2nd deep enough to field a ball hit through the pitcher on the 2nd base side. Make sure she can still beat batter/runner to first if F3 fields the ball charging in. She has a short enough throw, she can get outs even fielding deep.
I remind her that anything hit to her left she moves left fast. She will either field the ball or cover 1. Might be fielding it as it gets through F3 or hers alone if F3 goes to the bag.
By playing deep, she is an easier position to back up throw downs if SS has the bag.
