In the months of May and June for my 16U team, I hold 2 practices a week - Wednesdays and Sundays. Both Mother's Day and Father's Day, I have practices "scheduled" for 6-8pm (knowing full-well they will likely drop to "optional" practices due to numbers - individualized time for those who want it). All of my practices are "subject to change with reasonable notice" (weather, etc) and I've made this crystal clear.

I've got a mother complaining (more so b***hing) about her daughter "having to practice Mother's Day" and "always committed" and on and on. Same things we all hear. Her mother makes a stink about minimal stuff.

Simple Yes or No answer I'm looking for - does your travel team ever hold games/practices on Mother's Day/Father's Day?

Never a practice, but we've played almost every Mother's and Father's Day since DD started playing. Won't play this Mother's Day due to it being a high school graduation weekend. Hard to field an 18u team on those weekends. As a Dad, I'd prefer to be at the ballpark watching DD on Dads Day. Mom feels the same way.

When I'm making the schedule for my team I don't even consider either day a holiday. Most years we're playing.

In MN, Mother's Day is the same weekend as Fishing Opener...
So it's a yes for me...
Heck my wife would be happy if I practiced with the girls on Mother's Day for a while, so she could have some "me" time...
