Very Simple - Yes or No

DD's team has always played in tourneys on both those days. If it were just practice - I can't say how many would actually show up. DD would want to most definitely.

In rec ball, they didn't schedule events on Mother's Day. The last 2 years (TB), we've had tournaments. This year, the team has the weekend off.

The last time I wasn't on a softball field on Father's day was before my DD started playing softball.

I would also say yes to playing, but practice would be optional. This year our team has holiday weekends (Memorial weekend, 4th of July, Mothers day, and Fathers day) completely off. It will be nice to have a little break in the heart of our season, but DD is already working on maybe guest playing at least one or two of those weekends.

The mother in question contacted me earlier this afternoon, and we discussed the matter to clear up any misunderstandings and/or just make sure there's no issues/get on the same page.

After remembering we are doing our first fundraiser (a car wash) on the Saturday before Mother's Day, I'm leaning more to making it an optional practice. Primarily since the fundraiser is mandatory for the girls. This way the girls who can't make it aren't penalized for not coming, and the girls who DO want some extra practice can get it and aren't penalized by having the practice totally cancelled. I'm willing to compromise, but I'd rather not lose a practice if I can avoid it. But I am aware there are some things out of my control.

EDIT: My optional practice on Easter had 4 of 11 girls show up, so I feel as though even for 4 of 11 girls, it'd be worth it. These were mostly the younger girls who could definitely benefit from a few more ground balls or hits off the machine.
