I'm wondering if any of you use the surface pro to take video or photos and analyze swings, pitching,d defense or anything else ?

I have one and never use it but see that it's used widely in the NFL - feel like I could really be using this to show my players where we are doing well and where we are lacking.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Mav - interesting that you bring up the Surface Pro as I have been surfin' the 'net trying to figure out if that is what i want to get and if so what configuration of processor, RAM and storage memory along with what accessories I would need to fully utilize it. I should note that it will be used for my business as a a replacemt to my current (older) laptop. I have been using both my iPhone and IPad when taking sports video of my DD's...pitching videos, Zepp swing analyzer, etc.. Now you have me wondering if the Surface Pro would also offer an advantage for those purposes as well?

Overall how do you like the Surface Pro and do have any advice or suggestions before I plunk down the cash?

Thx!

I have a Surface Book and I really like it. I use it for work and the performance is great. Having a "real" keyboard is nice but you can also detach the screen and use it like a standard tablet. I think it would be a really good device for video analysis.

I am not actively using it - i bought it months ago but have no clue how to really use it to it's full potential. I have been a mac user for the last 15+years - swear by the macbook pro's but they do not function as a laptop/tablet like the surface does.

I really want to utilize the photo/video feature and the "pen" it comes with to correct the girls with their swing issues, defensive coverage - pitching!!! etc. - i love the way they work for the NFL - but those are specialized surfaces custom made for the NFL - see commercial below

I have the 4 pro and it is my production device. Expensive, but best and most versatile device I've ever owned (and have been in the IT business for close to 20 years...For whatever that is worth). But oddly, I've never used the camera for video analysis. Seems like an expensive way to do it. Phone video is similar quality.

remember that the NFL uses the surface because they are paid to. It's not because it's great, it's because the NFL took a chunk of money for product placement
