okay so i know i just posted a question but i have one more...
this year the team i will be coaching for is the rival school to the school i graduated from and played for almost 7 years ago. the coach i had when i was at this school is still coaching there. my question is about his signs. i have been going back toalumni and high school games and to watch my sister play for the last three years and i have noticed that he still uses the same signs that he did when i played there (even the indicator!). we will be playing them twice this season and i'm not sure what to do if he still uses the same signs. i was on the rival coaching staff last year (9th grade) and he didnt change them then as well.
so if he doesn't change them... what should i do? any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you didn't already know them, my guess is that you would spend time trying to steal them anyway and likely would and wouldn't feel bad at all, because you know that is part of the game. So you have no reason to feel bad about using information that you have at your disposal.

I would assume that he knows you are coaching this team?? So if he does not change his signals for at least the games he faces you then he feels that your team is no threat to him. Don't worry about it. Use your knowledge to your advantage. It is not stealing signals since you already know them. I am not saying go out of the way to see them but if he is brassy enough to be blatant about it, then the gloves are off.
IMO he knows who you are and what you know, so you are doing nothing wrong.
