I find that if a hitter is successful at the plate , the coach pretty much leaves them alone. If a hitter is really struggling , I wouldn't go with " My Dad/Hitting coach says to do it differently"

The only time I ever heard a parent actually swear was during one of my son's baseball games. Though if I had to generalize I'd say that hockey parents are the craziest and golf parents are the nicest :)

I'd say that a lot is up to the player... if she is hitting 0.600 and has a 100% fielding percentage I wouldn't think that the coach would mess with her mechanics. If she is struggling in an area the coach is usually looking to help solve the problem. A nice thing for TB coaches to do would be to communicate with the private coaches - that way everyone is on the same page.

I have one that goes to hitting coach. I leave her alone. There are pick up players from other teams I use from time to time. I know their coach teachs hitting different than me. During a game the only thing I may do is if the obvious happens head pulled out, stepped way out or something like that. True mechanics I stay away from.
