I kind of depends on each players own likes and dislikes. Some players would never stop and others need a break.

I had to laugh at this because by DGD is one of those players who would never stop. After practicing basketball all week Mon-Fri, she had basketball practice from 11a to 1p on Sat. She then went to her hitting instructor from 3p-4p then agility training from 4p-5p. Sunday she had agility and speed training with her TB team for an hour. Then on Tues and Thur after basketball practice she caught pitching practice for two of her friends. Oh, and she says the only reason she is playing basketball is to stay in shape and increase her quickness and agility.

Her TB team shut down the middle of Nov and the only contact they had for six weeks was a Christmas party the first part of Dec. The only contact now is the agility and speed training once a week for 1 hour a week. Weather permitting, they will start practicing outside in early March and then the tournament season starts the last weekend in March and runs through the middle of July. The team will shut down for a month with no contact and then fall tournament season usually starts the first of Sep and ends in Nov. That is plenty of time for team building. Most of the girls have been together for 3-4 years now and they can almost finish each others sentences when one begins to talk.

Of course DGD trades one team for another, MS softball, volleyball, and now basketball. I wish she would develop other interest outside of sports, so long as it is not boys. :)

DD played on two TB teams that were/are like family. They ran togehter year around. On the first team, they were a HS team and she was one of only maybe 2 or 3 not from that HS. Still, they did everything together. THEY STILL DO. A part of that team became the second team. (TB Program ended at 14U.) They spent time all year together. They are all home from college for Christmas break. So, we had dozens of them in the basement multiple days this holliday season. MAN CAN THEY EAT! It was so much fun for the wife and I. DD had a blast and I got to catch up with all of them and their college teams. We have often said that we were blessed that our child was able to play TB ball with these girls. They will be in each other's weddings and will be close friends FOREVER.
