I would love to have a whole section for the DFP community to talk about non-softball stuff (except politics, religion, etc.). A couple of other discussion forums I've spent a lot of time with have section like this, and they're great for extension of the community. For example, I'm also a musician (as a hobby). There're one other DFP'er I know who is a member of the same music forum I am, but I bet there's other musicians among us.

*Raises hand.*

Have you had a chance to listen to the band Dorothy...CD... 28 Days in the Valley?

I don't drink much, but I love music!

I haven't yet, but you're the second person to mention Dorothy to me recently. I guess I'd better check them out...

Have to join the others on the anti Heineken side. Well marketed beer. Sierra Nevada, Laguinitas, Stone IPA. Plenty of great local ones on tap.

The amount and variety of really good beer available right now is awesome. It's a great time to be a beer enthusiast.

It's 70's to early 90's style Rock....But her voice is absolutely amazing!

A rock style voice, cross between Ann Wilson of Heart, and Adele

...and Dorothy's vocal range is off the charts crazy!

I sampled a little bit. Good stuff! It definitely hits a lot of the feels I grew up with. My tastes have changed over the years, but I still get the urge to crank it up and rock out from time to time. It frustrates me when people ("old" people) whine that there's no good music being made any more. This is an excuse by lazy people who aren't willing to make an effort to find something new. No matter what your taste, there's new music out there that will turn you on...if you bother to look for it.

LOL haven't seen that video before. I agree with most everyone here that Heineken is tough beer to choke down. I drink Stag most of the time, and get some Yuengling smuggled in from time to time since they don't sell it in Illinois.
