Default GoPro Hero 7 White maiden voyage tomorrow last minute tips?

So Santa brought this softball dad a GoPro Hero 7 White, and I ordered my Lynk Spyder right after Christmas (it showed up super fast, thanks!) and I think I've overcome my technological stupidity and have it set up right. I've followed the prior threads' advice to the best of my ability. DD has an indoor tournament tomorrow where we'll test things out. Anybody have last minute advice for me? May post a video sometime next week for feedback on DD's swing and film critiquing as well. Thanks!

    Enjoy!
Indoor tournaments usually have rope style backstops versus metal cages that are outside. If you set the Lynk Spyder on a rope style fence be sure to extend the camera through the rope as far as possible. If not when a foul hits the backstop the rope may end up covering your lens. Be sure to check the view every few innings or better yet set up the WIFI on your phone and keep an eye on the video. When you used it on a metal fence it's set it and forget it.

Do NOT get frustrated. The main thing about the cameras that folks get frustrated with is the memory card. IF you have the wrong card you will know. Camera will freeze and act dumb. If you got the memory card directly from GoPro then you will be fine. Test you camera out today on some videos and camera burst. 30 Frames a sec. Have your dd swing the bat and make the shot. Click earlier before she swings. Just play with the camera as much as you can. For now, I would set the camera at 1080p at 30FPS for recording games at linear mode. Also for now film with the exposure at -.05 and leave the go pro color on for now. Also shutter at Auto, and sharpness at Med. IF you are editing on Windows Movie maker this will be a great start .

I hope you have a better experience than I did I hooked to back stop zoomed in to barely cover 3rd and 1st DD playing short stop so small can barely pick her out. Attached to 60” tv so blurry can’t watch the game. Every one tells me I have something set wrong so good luck.

What brand of camera are you using?
I used a $30 knock off from Amazon and I can get both third and first base. Miss some foul territory see below

Here is some of my work. Dont worry about the extra stuff in this video. Just focus in game footage

    1080 60fps
Set to narrow, linear, or med depending on depth of backstop. (Edited this is for hero 5)

On mesh backstops with lynx spider, don’t extend claws out then pull in. Instead leave in storage position, hook the bottom two on first then loosen the top two and pull up while hooked to net. It will hang better and survive the impacts better. Hope this makes sense. Ill get to find a pic.

You can see at the end that the claws are pulling out instead of into the spider. (This impact broke my camera but it finished the tourney and hung onto the fence)

Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Something is def off. Yes the players can be small but you can easily pick out what they are doing.

This was a deep backstop set on narrow, 1080 60fps

Thanks for the settings info Views I’m getting aren’t that clear I think the backstop distance was deep maybe that is what made difference because my infield looked like your outfield.
