Yes, if they don't put in the same amount of work it makes sense that one would progress faster than the other. With that in mind, it interesting that whatever slight differences in environment the two girls have been subjected to growing resulted in different interests. Or it could perhaps be the desire to be seen as different in the eyes of the their parents drove one to choose a different set of interests. Who knows...

Agreed. Lots of variables involved. One thing I know for sure...dad is on the edge of a psychotic episode constantly. 4 teenage girls - 14 and 15 years old.

I would love to have good twins as my middle infield.
I grew up w a set of twins. They couldnt be on the same team without them getting into a fight w each other. Couldn't put them on opposite teams without them throwing bombs at each other. Also couldnt mess w one without having to deal w the other

We formed a new team 3 years ago. Started with a core of girls. Still have about 5-6 of the originals. We've had some players quit and we've added a player or two here and there. When we are winning in tournaments that are played locally we usually have parents from other teams come give us their # and ask if we have openings. Do not overlook outfield as it's been difficult to find players that are solid there.

Great advice on outfield. We have been looking hard during tryouts to see who might fit there.

Good OFs are difference-makers.They turn extra base hits into outs, and keep singles from becoming extra base hits. Good OFs are gold. Do not neglect their coaching or importance. Above 10U, no good team has a mediocre OF.

In Jan I'll give you a contact for one of my girls who will be moving to 12u. She is a stud, can play anywhere but throw lefty so she will be OF in the future.

Very true, oh so very true! No more hiding "that" girl in RF anymore, cause the other team will definitely find her!

At 14, we still hide a girl in right field. The difference is that we are no longer hiding her from the ball; we are hiding her cannon of a right arm from the other team's third base coach.

Nice :) One of my favorite plays is the 9-3 out. In a recent game our RF had 2 in the same game. It turned out to be the difference in the game.

It’s a run or an out. Quite a swing. They always feel like game changers or game savers.
