Here in GA we got rained out last weekend, and this weekend isn't looking all that great either.

Windchill was 26° yesterday when I practicing with DD. It sucked.

Does anyone north of Atlanta have reasonable weather for softball.

Yea still waiting on word about this weekend - our HC heard they may try to move to Sunday...Which looks like it should be nice in the 70s! After having a freeze warning this morning :/
I think it's weird that things got rained out last weekend because at least in our area, it didn't even start to rain until 2-3 and even then, it was a light rain and we were able to complete all of our rec games. I guess the rain was further northwest of us. We're in Gwinnett..

We were supposed to play in Calhoun, PGF. We LOVE the tournament director for PGF here. He is so organized, forthcoming with information, and seems to genuinely care about the players. He erred on the side of caution cancelling but I think it was the right call. The radar looked pretty ugly for that area. We're an hour south of there and we even got a good bit of rain. I know there was more further north.

Are you in Gainesville this weekend? That's where we're supposed to play. He's considering Sunday which is why I ask. I don't think we'll play on Sunday. It's probably 1:30 from our closest player, and Monday morning is work and school. It just doesn't sound very good. We may just scrimmage Sunday. That's our usual practice day anyway. I'm ready for the rain to go away, and for the weather to stay warm.

It looked worse in the Calhoun area last weekend.
Yea we're supposed to be playing up there this weekend - 14U is in Hoschton though. He asked the parents and not sure what they've all said but we're close enough that it won't be that long of a drive.
DD has Orchestra LGPE on Saturday morning so she was already going to miss at least one game so if it gets delayed/moved it works for us.

I honestly don't remember a winter like this in east NC. In Jan we had such a deep freeze that the pond behind our house was frozen over a few inches deep. Played fetch with the dog on it! NEVER had that happen in the 13 years we've lived here. Typically Feb is the crazy month with some deep cold and then normal days. March things are supposed to start warming up considerably, yet this month is acting like the crazy month. Every day the outlook for Sunday changes. I went into the wrong dang business, should have gone into weather forecasting. I only need to be right 10% of the time. Double game scrimmage planned for Sunday (looking good for now, check back in an hour), with our first tournament planned next weekend. *Crosses fingers*

Well, before the arrival of the latest snowstorm—-DD was able to squeeze in one double header with her travel team and one scrimmage with her HS team. Still outnumbered by the canceled/postponed games. Thank goodness there are so many college games to watch. After reading it on one of the threads, I downloaded the ESPN app— always a game to catch up on now!

It spit on us a little yesterday, but we got in a full day in Dalton, GA (close to the TN line). It was chilly and windy though. I'm ready for spring too, but not looking forward to scorching days in June and July!

They made our tournament a one day tourney. The day started off cold and sunny, but we knew the crap was on the way. I still can't believe they went on with it all. It was around 45 and sprinkling in our semi-final game. Made it through that. Then the lower bracket played while we waited for the championship game. It started a steady sprinkle that never stopped. Everything was soaked by the time they got to our game. When we got back to the car after (we won it all, went undefeated!) it was 39. Had to be in the top 3 all time worst conditions we've ever played in.
