Tough it out and stay with the team so she can be around the other girls. The value in that is like gold. You don't want the reputation that you think you're better than everyone else. It's 10u, that reputation will stick with you for life.

Some of my daughter's favorite TB memories, especially early on, are from time spent hanging with the girls at the hotel. Don't deny your daughter this. Don't know if the hotel is a chain or a local one-off, but keep in mind that more people will go out of their way to post negative reviews than positive reviews.

Im scared to death of finding bed bugs in a crappy hotel...
Find the best suited hotel, request team booking, they'll usually block out a dozen rooms at a discount.

It is a chain (actually probably franchise), and one you think would have pretty decent standards.

we discussed with HC, she indicated several families were already booked there, and indicated she did not trust any review, she always brings sheets and chlorox wipes. so changing team hotel not really an option, and we are still pretty a little bit on the outside.

Gonna try to convice DW to tough it out, unless we get there and it is atrocious. thanks for the feedback.

I am in the suck it up and stay with team especially if there will be a lot of down time. Nasty hotels suck but hotel stays are great for team bonding for players and parents and that is very important. We are in our 4th year with the same core girls and we are like family now because we have spent probably close to 20 hotel stays together. Our girls are literally like sisters, they even argue like sisters some times, but they love each other. We do have one family that seems to not like to stay with the team, and they just seem to want to be outsiders. Just hang out and have enough beers that you will rest easy.
