UPDATE on this 18U team.

We left the team and staying with the organization, got tired of the dictator. After this past weekend, Warriorangela had fun playing on this 16u team because she knows a couple of the girls on the team. Plus she got more pitching time which is what she desperately needed. So it was better weekend overall.

One of our players got sick over the weekend, so she was contemplating about showing up to games this weekend because she was authentically sick. She did make it to games this past weekend and she got thru it. However she was not going to show up to our following weekend tourney because of a family affair, which was already scheduled a while back with coaches and made the agreement that she wasn't going to be there the following weekend.

Well this player got verballed/committed to a college and paperwork is getting started. Our travel ball team mom said that if she doesn't play that past weekend while she was sick then she is going to tell her future college coach about her being uncommitted to the team and not being a team player. So can a travel team really ruin a scholarship or can I call this teams mom bluff?

My $0.02....
1) There is no "paperwork" for a verbal commitment, hence the term "verbal". Coaches go out of their way to make sure your DD leaves with nothing more than a handshake.
2) Good college coaches VET players before verbally commiting them, so there is a 98.2% chance they would laugh in your team mom's face.
3) TB coaches are part of the VETTING process, so choose carefully when your DD reaches the recruiting age.
