Hoping to find time to keep improving my daughter's throwing mechanics before the second tryout for our leagues 10U travel team. She's technically 8U, but there's no 8U team to try out for, so 10U it is (her choice).
Unfortunately, I've already received an email from the HC saying she probably won't make it (due in part to the throwing, and difficulty hitting the (IMO) poorly-fed balls from a pitching machine), but I haven't told my daughter that, and since the HC is willing to still have her come and finish the tryout, that's the current plan.
Keeping fingers crossed that the improvement she's already shown after our initial "try throwing this way instead" session will stick. The harder part, I fear, is convincing her to get moving / start her swing earlier, to hopefully make better contact off the jugs machine (which she's probably hit off of 1 other time in her life).
