"Crawling" for a Friday Check in 7/21/17

Well feeling a little "numb" today with the passing of lead singer Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. One of my favorite bands to listen too. Especially some of their earlier stuff. The guy was really close to my age too. To young for sure....... So with that......... Don't forget your weekly check in.

We have practice on Saturday and maybe going out and chasing tuna this weekend near Catalina Island. Working on another video!!

I heard a little snippet of that on the news when my brother and I were heading out for my team's tournament today. But "In The End" their songs (Linkin Park) were pretty good. Numb being one of my faves.

As far as this weekend, just playing in a local tournament.

DD 3 is playing her last tournament of the season. It may or may not be the last one with this team (see another thread about whether she jumps to an A team).

First game was called a tie for rain, coin flip gave the other team the tie-breaks for bracket play. That coin flip will probably mean the other team gets a first-round bye, while DD 3's team doesn't. The other team is probably the strongest team in the tournament.

Nothing, nada, zero, zilch. Boring. Not sure what to do with ourselves. Maybe go help my mom with her garage sale?

DD tried out and switched teams last week and is now listening to all the speculation about who joined her old team. Weird for sure.

Last tournament of the season this weekend. Also last one with this team as it is. Couple players leaving, head coach leavin. Girls played flat, may have a few days off to play if the girls keep playing like this.

Last tournament for DD's team. I had 8 of these 12 girls on an 8u All-Star team in 2013. Definitely going to be wearing sunglasses and taking my allergy medicine Sunday. These girls will be scattering to different 14u-A teams this fall.

We played our final 10U game yesterday at the SEAA World Series. We ended up in 5th place. It's been a great year.

No softball tournament this weekend so DD and I went scuba diving yesterday and today she is off with all her non-softball friends.

Nationals next week.

DD caught her pitcher for a lesson on Saturday then 3 buckets of some feel good front toss afterwards. Now she's in SoCal getting ready for the USA JO Cup.
