Jump Starting Your Friday Check In 6/23/17

Heading 1 1/2 hr north of us to fields in the middle of nowhere. Last time with DD1 we camped in our popup which we sold when she went to college. Weather looks bad through midday Sat so just cancelled Friday night hotel. We got volunteered to play a 4th game Saturday that doesn't count for us and the girls were having a lot of fun last night at practice hitting off two players who don't normally pitch for us.

DD was scheduled to play in the All-Star State tournament this weekend but it got cancelled due to rain...
So now - nothing - they are thinking of getting the team together to do something social though.
They "won" their last tournament (they were two games in and it got cancelled due to rain and the directors had to decide on the winner - our team had won the last two tournaments and were on course to win this one too) so they might get their trophies at some point.

Playing a 3 day tourney starting today that leads right into the Sparkler. DD has track practice this morning and 2 SB games this afternoon. Woke up to pouring rain at 5am, but it has stopped now. Looking forward to a weekend in the 70s instead of the upper 90s/100s we've been having. Hoping the 70s and no rain continues for the Sparkler but it looks like it is going to warm up. Oh well - truly just hoping for no torrential downpours like last year!
