DD's team leaves Sunday morning after Team NJ for the IDT in Boulder. They will play warm up games Monday and Tuesday before pool play starts. Probably eat one night at Estes Park based on prior trips.

It's a great trip. If you can swing an extra day or two it's worth it to see Pike's Peak, go river rafting, zip lining, 4 wheeling or hiking. CO is pretty cool.

I'm a little bummed that we won't be making the trip this year but DD had a big day next Thursday. Iday at the USNA.

Have some of my HS players and hitting students making the trip. BB is also making the trip for a week. I have given instructions to all involved to send me updates. I will have players at the Firecracker and the Sparkler.

How is everyone enjoying CO?
I must admit I'm chuckling at all the people who are surprised it is so warm here. I have heard more people say "it is supposed to be cooler in the mountains". Lol - it is cooler in the mountains, but down here where the games are beimg played it is nice and toasty.

I was really surprised that this year Triple Crown Sports created the "Super 16U" and "Super 18U" divisions. It makes me wonder if college coaches are making it to other diamonds where the teams aren't categorized as "super." I know BB's team is doing well. I think that they have today off and are going to go rafting.

Having a good time in Ft. Collins at the 12u event. We are 3/0, I have fished 3 days in a row, and we are rafting later today.

We are in Aurora at the Fireworks, we started in the "power pools" and will start the "super 64" bracket tomorrow. I have never been here before but the format has changed, we saw lots and lots of coaches. Even at the satellite fields one of our other orgs teams had coaches at a night game.

Just played our first set of games today. Went .500 today.

We didn't see
any college coaches today ?? I know they're out there. Just not at our park..

Where are you? CO Springs, Erie/Westminster or Loveland/Greeley area or other?

I think it's dumb that they put the 14s in CO Springs away from all the 16s and 18s. 😕

I just talked to BB. They had a rough day though she thought that they played well in the first game. She also said that there were a lot of coaches at the various venues.

Playing IDT in Boulder 18's. Seeing many coaches at the East Mapleton and Stazio complexes. Our team is 2-1-1 in pool games so far only allowing 13 runs in those 4 games. Lots of super awesome teams!
