Follow up to Zoom into June - Ump lost his pants !!

Ok well we just finished this tourney and not sure how others fared up this year. Disappointing that we didnt see any college coaches this year. Doing a lot of camps so hopefully warrioranglea will get picked up there.

But without a doubt last game of our tourney was the worst. Umpire kept talking to the parent of the pitcher and was slowing down game. Plus prior to game he was late?? Not sure if he was on something or not. Was acting weird the whole game. Well long game and dragged on forever. Then the unthinkable happened. During in between innings, the umpire lost his pants. I didn't have the gopro on!! One of those days you just face palm your self.


Got a chance to meet up with Tatonka and family! They decided to come out to my hood!!! Never got a chance to show them what "real Mexican food" was but any time to get to meet up with a DFP'r its always fun!!

I think they are always on something. Personally I do not blame them.

(I like our umpires, saying that in case they read this board you guys and girls are Great!

We played 2 1/2 games so far an have had 2 Issues.

The 1/2 game lightning came in so the Team's took cover to wait it out. Game was called because ump did not take cover, they jumped in thier car and took off without telling anyone. we were looking to resume game, no umpire.

It is 95 out and we are down by 30 runs, with a 6 run inning limit we might have had a hard time catching up in the last inning. Umpire stopped the game in middle of the inning. They made a mistake. Everyone is ready to get the heck out of there so no one cared except 1 person on our Team, thier DD was pitching. After hearing "I am in charge" 5 times while she was yelling at him, I do not think he will make that mistake again.
Honesty, I like our umpires. If they drop thier pants might change my opinion.)

HAAAAA

Mike, the FU that was working our last game Sunday (while we were talking) came over to me a couple of times and asked if I was Dave? Had a hard time hearing him and he wasn't exactly enunciating clearly. Our scorekeeper who was sitting there listening to the whole thing said after he walked away "you realize he was speaking in classic rock song titles right?" After the game he came back over and I could hear him...sure enough, still calling me Dave he's telling me about how long it took him to get home from some tournament. He says you know I'm just "A Fool for the City" and taking a "Slow Ride", by the time I got home I've got "Double Vision"..... lol He says he could hear the music from his house and finally asked if I knew those bands. Duh, of course...I've seen them both live but many, many years ago! This ump was having a good time! Might have been the same guy that lost his pants in your game! Short, with a white beard? ;-)

By the way, that comebacker that my DD nailed is still being talked about...very glad she caught that with her glove instead of her mask and that it was for the third out. I don't think she could have delivered another pitch right away!!

Someone from our team said they saw a college coach at those fields but I have my doubts. Sorry we didn't make it out to the Casa for dinner Sunday night...ate at Bob's Big Boy on the way back to the hotel and then crashed hard! See you out here in the Rockies soon!
