If you're playing in heat, cooling towels and/or misters can be helpful. Grapes and watermelon feel nice and cool on a hot day. Give her lots of water and limit the Gatorade.

DD insists that we stock up on sunflower seeds for every tournament, so there's that.

We try to keep a few proteins on hand so she's not eating only fruit - peeled boiled eggs, cheese, jerky, yogurt. We'd do nuts as well but DD doesn't like nuts. The proteins fill her up a little better.

Honestly, we switched to the Walmart sandwhiches. My wife buys the those big ones and cuts them up. Its cheaper than buying the ingredients and putting them together. Lots of water, Gatorade, seeds, bug spray, sun tan lotion, and she mixes up the snacks from week to week

I think it depends on the concession stand of the complex. Do i go with the hot dog, cheese burger, or the walking taco? Decisions, decisions.

You can imagine my husband's disappointment when I fully stocked our cooler with lunch and snacks and then he saw that the snack bar had pulled pork and Santa Maria tri-tip.

For us, that would be a cooler that went home with lunch still in it.

Also, if there is anything that you feel is an absolute must to pack, please let me know! We're new to the TB scene so any advice is helpful!

A couple of Bud Lights in the bottom of the cooler and a red solo cup....wait, did I type that out loud?

Unfortunately for him, my husband had just told me that we were wasting too much money buying unhealthy food at tournaments.

I think he's learned his lesson.

I for got to mention some facilities limit food, drink and limit coolers to 1 per team. When they do that we keep a cooler with food and drink in the car and visit the car between games.

One facility we used to play at rents the concession stands to private individual and part of the agreement is they limit colliers to 1 per team with no food allowed.

Pac NW
In addition to the above, here's some other ideas:
-Portable shelter
-Duct tape
-Sharpie
-Multi-tool
-Zip ties
-Your Rx for anxiety
-Cold wraps for hot days
-Long and short sleeve compression tops
-Warm up jacket
-Sunscreen (We don't need it here in the PacNW... Just good rain gear and an umbrella....)
-A few extra balls (in case Sara forgets it's her turn to grab the bucket from behind coach's car and it disappears.)
-External USP charger
-Extra SD card
-TP and hand soap... Really wish I didn't have to recommend this one...
-Handiwipes
-Extra cleats
-A good book
-Car pillow for naps between games
-Portable mister
