I decided while the kids are camping with their dad I'll go watch my friend's daughter's 6U rec game. Remind myself where this madness all started.

Game 5 of DD's season. She'll be pitching against a team that includes her BFF's little sister. I've made it clear to DD that she can't hit her with a pitch just because she thinks she's an annoying little sister.

Both my DDs, the oldest 1st year 14U the other 1st year 12U, were supposed to play in the same tournament in Tacoma, but it's already been canceled. Word is some nut was building an ark in the middle of the field complex.

The tournament (ASA) was listed as taking place at an all turf complex which is one of the reasons we signed up for it; you can play in a fair amount of rain on the turf. But when the schedule came out it was set at a different complex. I emailed the tournament director and asked when and why the change and he said I was mistaken, it's always been scheduled for this other park. I have been instructed by our head coach and club president not to forward the screen shots that (still) say otherwise.

Another case of alternate facts?

DD's HS team beat the two time state champions tonight, broke up a 43 game winning streak. Tomorrow we're painting the new HS indoor hitting facility. Then hopefully a nap and some good March Madness games.

Hopefully 2 scrimmage games tomorrow for school depending on the rain. Sunday we have practice with DD's new team. Can't wait to watch the team play this summer.

We're supposed to play on turf tomorrow but I think it's such a downpour that I'm almost positive it will be canceled.

Ugh, make it stop.

I know at this point I'm just whining - but it's 9am and we're headed to a double header. At what point does someone step in and say, "Hey guys, even though it's on turf and we're eager to play, maybe there's a limit?"

It's been bad even by NW standards this year. I'm putting together a clinic for area Little League kids who've had it even worse as they don't have indoor facilities. Two hours out of the rain will be better than nothing.

Arizona State is in town to play Washington this weekend but there's a good chance they don't play at all. I'm sure they're happy about making the trip.
