3 feet on the ground? Most of were only born with two feet. Must make running interesting.

Lol. Guess I should have been a little more descriptive but my brain is frozen by all this white crap on the ground. HS tryouts in less than a month and we are BURIED in the stuff with more on the way and more negative number lows so no thaw in site. I need to move.

DD's team scrimmaged last weekend with snow still on the outfield. It was in the high 50s though, so it felt nice after a week of being in the teens and 20s.

No matter where you live, there is someplace colder.

I remember when i was moving to Madison. I got some advice on a newsgroup (remember them?) from a fellow in Georgia who grew up in Madison. At one point we were talking about the harsh winters. Someone from Barrow, Alaska chimed in to make fun of us. According to our source in Barrow, the proper way to dress in the winter is a wolverine coat.

When DD (8U) played tournaments this spring and early summer all the parents would bundle their kids up for warmups before morning games (temps in the 50s) and by the end of a 9am game all of those kids were drenched in sweat and complaining about how their parents forced them to wear these stupid long sleeves.

Southern California problems....

ugh I'm jealous over here in Philadelphia, PA. We thankfully haven't had much snow stick at all but temps are in 20's low 30's (we've been having spurts one day goes up to 50's than back down). Only good thing is with not that much snow this year hopefully we can get onto the fields quicker come mid-march
