We feel your pain. We had the drought where fields are rock solid hard, and we've had our fields turned into 4-6ft lakes (not kidding).

Our fields are under nearly 2 feet of snow right now with a little more than a month until tryouts.....

Ours were under 2 feet of snow a few weeks ago, then we got a heat wave. Snow is almost all gone now. Supposed to snow again tonight, though. I've seen flurries in May games occasionally. DD 3 pitched pretty well in the snow and sleet in May, and even better in a heavy rainstorm in July. Still throwing 50 in the mud, while other pitchers were falling down.

I'll take a few inches of rain once a decade over anything else those Northern States have to deal with. Funny, the weather ruins 1 or 2 weekends of Softball and everyone down here complains not realizing that many folks up north haven't even started their seasons yet, lol. Poor, poor me sitting here in SoCal in the rain, lol
